When You Know Something Needs To Change…

A Few Words...

From Dr. Harari

You know something needs to change in your life. Maybe you’ve always felt this way and wondered if your life could be different. Maybe friends or loved ones have commented that you don’t seem quite yourself. Either way, you’re feeling distressed and are ready to do something about it.

Dr. Harari is a licensed clinical psychologist with close to 20 years of experience working with a range of mental health issues and emotional disorders. Her work with clients is based on a fundamental belief that they CAN change and improve their quality of life. She works collaboratively to help clients clarify their own therapeutic and life goals, and quickly gets to work pursuing them.

Dr. Harari works with adults, primarily using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for a range of problems. CBT is an evidence-based and highly effective form of therapy that is goal-directed and often time-limited. Working together, therapy examines how your thinking may contribute to your distress and help you CHANGE unhealthy thinking patterns and unwanted behaviors. At the same time, real life challenges are acknowledged while working on more effectively coping with and managing them. Dr. Harari collaboratively creates an individualized treatment plan with you to help you meet your unique goals and live a life based on your values and aspirations.

One of the key components of effective change is a strong therapeutic working relationship. Clients have noted that Dr. Harari’s empathetic style, therapeutic flexibility, and firm belief that they can better their lives has helped them to make changes that would otherwise seem too difficult. Her openness to communication and feedback about the therapy process ensure that clients’ perspectives of treatment and progress toward goals are always being considered.

Please take the opportunity to browse Dr. Harari’s website for more information about her and her in-person practices in Brooklyn Heights and midtown Manhattan, and virtual practice anywhere in New York State. She welcomes emails and phone calls with questions about her services or for a brief phone consultation.

Dr. Harari looks forward to working with you on making real and lasting changes in your life.

One-on-one therapy sessions focus on collaboratively and actively following an individualized treatment plan to help you understand and change unwanted thoughts, feelings and/or behavior patterns. Available in-person in Brooklyn, and virtually anywhere in New York State.

Mindfulness practice helps train the mind to focus on being present in the moment. While so much emotional distress drives one to dwell in the past or worry about the future, mindfulness cultivates living in the present.

Supervision and case consultation are crucial in the professional development of early career psychologists. Case consultations are conducted on an as-need basis, while supervision is provided more regularly.
